This certification course is designed for Qualified Electrical Workers (Q.E.W.) who are responsible for implementing, supervising, or conducting routine electrical safety audits within the workplace, as well as those who are working to become Qualified and desire the to acquire the skills and training necessary to perform these activities safely and effectively.

(CSA-ES) Recertification Information

And to ensure all CSA-ES certification recipients maintain the highest level of proficiency and expertise in the industry, recertification will be required at 3-year intervals from the original date of issue.

In order to qualify for recertification and retain the designation as a Certified Safety Auditor - Electrical Specialist (CSA-ES), minimum guidelines and criteria for continuous professional development and training have been established as follows for the 3-Year certification cycle:

  • A Minimum of 45 Continuing Education / Contact Hours
  • Conducting / Supporting a Minimum of 9 Individual Audits
  • Yearly Completion of NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training
  • Current Emergency Response CPR / AED Training

Additional areas certification holders can accrue contact hours:

  • Instructing and Teaching Electrical Safety Principles
  • State Electrical Licensing Continuing Education
